Let Us Be Gentle

Hello dear church!

May this find you well. It was a joy to connect with many of you on Sunday (Zoom folks thanks for your patience as we dealt with some tech issues!!!) and a special joy to see a whole bunch of you last Saturday, too, for our Elder Salon session on gender identity and pronouns. If you missed it and are looking to learn more about how we can be more welcoming and inclusive to all, please join us for worship on June 11th where I’ll preach a sermon entitled Beyond the Binary. In addition, I’ve put out pronoun stickers on the nametag rack for us to add to our name tags. Please help yourself!

I’m out of the office for the remainder of the week, Sunday included, and Monday is a holiday. So a reminder that I won’t be back at work until Tuesday, May 30th. I’m also out of the pulpit the following Sunday. So I may seem to have disappeared but I’m still here for you! If you’d like to schedule a time to connect, please go ahead and find a slot on my calendar. Talking with y’all is the best part of my job.

Two exciting things coming up…

This late spring season is busy and, for many, a bit stressful. If that’s you, please know that I see you and am wrapping you in care and deep breaths. Let us be gentle with one another, choose kindness over being right, and keep returning to love.

In faith,
Rev. Tara
