Building rentals

Our building is open to the neighborhood, not only the congregation. Community groups, businesses, and families use it for meetings and classes, concerts, weddings, and memorials. Here is what each space holds, and how to book it.

The space

The building sits on Allen Avenue in North Deering, all on one level. We rent it to individuals, community groups, and businesses, by the hour or by the day. A preschool meets here through the week; a choral group rehearses; the Maine Outdoor Adventure Club gathers. People also rent the building for weddings, memorials, meetings, conferences, and concerts.

Everything is reached without stairs, with ramps and a grade-level entrance. If accessibility matters for your event, the accessibility page has the particulars.

Sanctuary

The sanctuary is the largest room: 1,850 square feet, seating up to 120. It has a vinyl-tile floor, a dark cedar ceiling carried on exposed beams, and a wall that is nearly all glass, so the light changes with the day. The lighting dims. It suits a presentation, an annual meeting, or a concert at full capacity, and exercise or meditation classes for up to fifty.

A Steinway grand stands in the room. It may be played by special permission only.
